Getting ready...
We are busy getting ready for the grand opening of our exhibit "Polymer -- From the Beginning". We're having a party on April 8th and 9th to celebrate this revolving and evolving permanent collection of polymer artwork. It represents a large cross-section of the polymer community and has pieces dating back to the 80's. We envision the exhibit to be like a museum study collection, where one can be inspired by what has gone before. It offers a chance to see pieces made before Judith Skinner developed the skinner blend, as well as early earrings made by Judith using her game changing technique. We have early examples of art work by Maureen Carlson, Nan Roche, Lindly Haunani, Mike Buesseler and Dan Cormier, among dozens of distinguished polymer artists. We have pieces from several people who, sadly, are no longer working in polymer. One, Judy Kuskin, sent us this incredible necklace to enhance our collection and give you a chance to see superior polymer art jewelry. We feel so lucky to be able to share this level of artistry.
Hope we'll see you at the opening or in future visits to the Atlanta area. Historic Buford is a fun destination, now made better by the addition of Woman Creative!
